HOW TO :: MASTER the CURLS

Hello to all my ladies! Many of you have requested for me to blog about how I “Master the curls..!” This blog will be short and sweet. Although achieving this look takes me about an 1 hour 1/2 to 2 hours… it is extremely easy. Below you will find all the tools you will need, with step by step. ENJOY!

THE TOOLS ::

Processed with VSCOcam with t1 preset

4 THINGS YOU WILL NEED ::

-CLIP (Sallys, walmart, can be whatever clip you like)

-GREAT LENGTHS BRUSH (my all time favorite) you can find this brush on HTTP://WWW.AMAZON.COM for a great price. It is amazing for detangling, also great for extensions, and teasing!

-BUMBLE AND BUMBLE HAIRSPRAY (another one of my favs) you can find this product at any B&B salon, as well as Sephora, Amazon, etc.  This spray is truly genius. It creates the perfect texture for your hair, to hold curl, yet still gives movement, avoiding the “stiff, hard” look.

-HELEN OF TROY IRON (important tool) this iron is sold at Sallys, or Walmart. They come in different sizes. The key to the perfect curl, is figuring out how small you want each individual curl, and with that, you decide which size barrel you want.

Step ONE : Make sure hair is freshly washed and dried. Spray hair spray throughout hair.

Step TWO : Take the clip, separate hair into a small section (row).. and work your way through a 1 inch row..section by section. Start from the bottom. IMPORTANT detail :: the smaller the sections that you take, the tighter the curls you will get. Although it takes longer, it gives the best results. Keep the iron barrel closed. I never open the iron. I use it, as if it is a wand.

**Always curl sides of head, BACK, and all other hair, UNDER.**

Step THREE : Once you have worked your way throughout the whole head of hair, you will need your brush! Take brush, and brush from root to about 3 inches down. Then take brush and tease out the curls, brushing and teasing around the sides and back. This will get rid of that PERFECT CURL look that you WANT TO AVOID. It helps to lose that awkward round shape, to a triangular shape. You want the volume to be more on the sides with this particular look.

Step FOUR : Once you’ve brushed and teased through and messed it all up… Spray it one last time! You can never make it TOO messy (in my opinion)..AND THERE YOU HAVE IT!!!!
