Tis The Season NYC

Hello everyone! It has been a while since I blogged! I needed a little break after blogging a consistent 12 days in a row with the “12 days of black Friday!” LOL! I hope you all took advantage of the discount codes and got you some good deals!

I have been so excited for this particular blog! Every year we plan a family trip to NYC in December. There is no place like NYC during the Holidays in my opinion!

Here are snippets of our trip… It rained the first few days we were there so it was hard to capture photos, but I tried my best!

Below you will find some of our favorite places to visit, restaurants to eat, a few outfit details (not all)…a sneak peek into our trip. Hope you enjoy!

Places we love to stroll…

The real Christmas trees sold off the streets… Seriously?? Too much…Takes my Holiday Spirit to a whole nutha level!

The flower shops…

The street food is a must to try… who doesn’t love a hot dog? Well, Robert doesn’t, but I DO!!! Its just simply the tourist thing to do!!

Central Park leaves me speechless. The beauty is beyond… and its so peaceful in the midst of a crazy, busy, non stop city. I love the horse carriage rides… you should definitely try it with a loved one, or family/friends! Check it off your list.

The Brown Stone Houses are so unique and incredible. I would love to live in one of these, if I lived in NYC.

Madison Avenue is a must. The shopping… do some damage!

Window shopping with Daddy and Poppa.

See..Evie girl loves NYC…!

But don’t get it twisted…cause she will flip it on you real quick with her attiTUDE. lol!

5th Avenue. Its a must! Its one of my favorite streets… from high end stores to realistic every day purchases, its the place to shop. Well, there is also SOHO which I love.. you will see that area as you scroll down. 5th Avenue is dreamy, lit up with Christmas lights, swamped with people…The department store windows are to die for… There is nothing like it!

Ralph Lauren Mansion.. What a beauty.

Being in Soho is a completely different world compared to 5th avenue, Madison, Time square, Central Park area. Its more of a hipster, young, trendy area that is also a must to see! From Soho, you’ll run right into China town, Little Italy, and all of those are so fun to experience as well!

Shout out to ORBIT BABY STROLLER for making the most incredible, easy to tear down, easy to maneuver around, stroller there is out there! This can also turn into double stroller as well.

Love our little NYC crew!

Goodies to Eat

The food above is one of our favorite breakfast spots, NORMA’S . The pictures of the entrees say enough, right?

This is the line to get a cookie…Now you know they must be good if people wait in this line!

LEVAIN BAKERY is insanely tasteful! I always have to make a special stop by here to get one of the best cookies of my life. Its like a brownie/ cookie mixed in one. You can see the line of people waiting above…I mean it has to be good if people are willing to wait in line for it!
Now THESE street tacos were OFF THE CHAIN. Yes. Like, Im from Texas so when I have Mexican food up north, it ain’t my kind of Mexican. But let me tell you, this hot spot has me coming back every visit to NYC.

La Esquina located in SOHO.

NYC is so massive that the restaurants are endless.. however, here a few that I have tried, and love!

Outfits : Featuring Jacket

The Jacket : I absolutely adored this jacket as soon as a laid eyes on it. Once I saw the price, I loved it even more.

Guess how much? $25.00 at TJ MAXX! I love Ralph Lauren, and it has a Ralph look, so I swooped it up!

Aztec Printed jackets/ cardigans are EVERYWHERE this time of year…

I have found a few that I think are great and reasonably priced $50 and under.

One of my all time favorite places to visit. RALPH LAUREN COFFEE SHOP off 5th Avenue. Every year, from Evie being 7 weeks old to now 14 months, we are taking our family photo there…and plan on keeping that our tradition until we are unable to do it any more. I absolutely love it.

Last year, we walked into the empty coffee shop and snapped photos. This year, the coffee shop has become more known, therefore to capture a photo took us 4 attempts. But I was a determined Momma! We not only captured the family photo, but Ralph’s Social Media team happen to be there doing a shoot, and decided to shoot Evie girl with the all time classic Ralph Teddy Bear! It doesn’t get any more special and cool as that! You may just see Evie girl on their social media!

Keeping Evie entertained around her nap time requires nothing else but a ba-ba… so we had to get it out…lol!

Evie adores Daddy…and Daddy adores Evie.

Mini me… She even crinkles her nose like Mommy..lol. Besties!

AND WE DID IT!! Kind of… lol! The struggle of getting a 14 month old to cooperate… while trying to clear out a popular venue filled with people… We nailed it! Momma was happy!

Once again, Central Park is one of our favorite places. There is nothing quite like it. We captured photos here last year… and although it was pouring rain, I was once again determined to capture these memories. I am so happy with how the photos turned out considering the circumstances… I am starting to swell in my face and nose…thanks to pregnancy, but I wouldn’t trade it of anything…Trying to embrace every moment… Grateful for my life, my little family. All 4 of us.
