Happy Holyween from the Madu Crew!
What a night full of fun chaos… candy, friends, fellowship, and the best part, sleep by 10:00, due to the babies being worn out!
As you can see, I was Cruella Deville with my little dalmatian puppies.
Robert was a Firefighter with his little helpers.
I started planning this outfit last year. I have been counting down the days to dress up, and we almost missed the chance due to sleepy babies.
Robert had been in London all week, therefore I went and visited my family in Arkansas. We traveled back yesterday, so as soon as we got home, they both crashed. Believe it or not, come 8:00, I decided to wake Evie up, so we could get everyone dressed and head to our favorite Halloween event– “Rock the Pumpkin” at our home church.
I bribed Evie with every single sweet treat you can think, hoping she would cooperate. I took over 100 photos, crossing my fingers that possibly JUST ONE would come out! I had to share with you all the ones that turned out good!
To those of you who freak out over seeing a christian, post a photo with their families dressed up, this is for you :
Do we celebrate Halloween?
I don’t want to ponder on it, because I don’t think its necessary. I actually consider it petty, and see greater issues than this particular subject. But to give you clarity and to answer your question :
Halloween is not the Devils birthday. No where in the bible does it say that. Man kind has labeled this particular day with that nonsense. Does evil happen – yes. However, evil happens every day. This time, just like every other day, belongs to God. “This is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it.” I think its absolutely ignorant for people to even give the enemy credit by making it something that its not. Now understand, I am fully aware, witchcraft, and evil is hi lighted during this time, but I choose to take control of it and not ponder on the evil, but turn it into something thats happy and fun for my family. If anyone sees something wrong with dressing up in fun costumes, eating candy, and going to church or halloween party, then poor poor thing… I would consider this mindset religious. My salvation does not depend on if I dress up or not for Halloween.
So free yourself from thinking you are participating in the “devils work” or the “devils day”… Every day belongs to my God…
My wig and the babies outfits were ordered off Amazon .
My shoes are actually from a store in Australia called Wittner . I purchased these roughly 3 years ago! They have cute shoes y’all!
Roberts outfit came from Party City .
Hope everyone had a wonderful time with your friends and family!!!!
In my hometown, there was a church that called Halloween “Holyween”… I love it and it cracks me up!
So to that, I say, HAPPY HOLYWEEN 2016!
UNTIL NEXT YEAR!!
